The Office of the Administrative Vice Chancellor supports Administrative Vice Chancellor Michael J. Beck in overseeing the seven operational and service units comprising UCLA Administration. Its responsibilities include advising Vice Chancellor Beck on special projects, crisis management, and executive communications, along with implementing cross-organizational operations, policies and strategic initiatives.
Additionally, the Office authorizes the use of the UCLA Marks and oversees Administration Marketing & Communications (AMC), a team of talented communicators, marketers, designers and digital development professionals who serve the departments that comprise UCLA Administration.
The Office also leads major institution-wide initiatives, including UCLA’s preparation to host the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Village in partnership with LA28, overseeing cross-campus planning and impact mitigation strategies to support operational alignment and deliver a seamless Village experience while minimizing disruption to the UCLA community.
