As UCLA continues to grow and welcome more students, faculty, staff and visitors, maintaining a safer and more predictable travel environment remains a core campus priority. With thousands of pedestrians, cyclists, electric personal mobility device riders and service vehicles sharing our roads each day, slower speeds help protect everyone who moves through campus.

To support this commitment, UCLA is reminding the community that the campus speed limit is 20 miles per hour or below on all campus roads. This applies to all vehicles and electric personal mobility devices.

UCLA fleet vehicles are also now equipped with Geotab safety notifications, which provide an audible alert when a driver exceeds the posted speed limit in a given area. These notifications are designed to reinforce safer driving habits and support a culture of attentiveness and care across campus operations.
