With more than 20 years of progressive leadership service to Housing & Hospitality, UCLA alumna steps into new role following an extensive nationwide search

This October, UCLA Transportation invites the Bruin community to participate in Sustainable Transportation Month 2026, a celebration of greener commuting choices and their benefits. 

Steve McNaughten, who has worked in the fire service for 30 years, including serving as battalion chief and fire marshal for the City of Oxnard, has joined UCLA.

Recent data show a 53% reduction in OSHA recordable injury incidents from the previous fiscal year and an overall 87% decrease since 2013–2014.

Meet Tom Poveromo, the fleet acquisition specialist behind close to 4,000 vehicles UCLA has procured over the past 27 years.

As fall programming ramps up across campus and Southern California, the UCLA Central Ticket Office is offering Bruins a wide range of ways to enjoy the season.

Devices operated on the UCLA campus must be registered. Additionally, if a device will be charged and/or stored inside a campus-owned or leased building, it must also be certified to UL standards and verified for compliance by UCLA Fire.

To support Effective UCLA’s goal of strengthening a culture of continuous process improvement across the campus community, a Lean Six Sigma program was established to build practical process improvement capabilities through targeted learning and development opportunities.
