In the ever-evolving landscape of human resources at UCLA, the HR IT Systems Optimization (HRITSO) program is revolutionizing employee and client engagement within Campus Human Resources (CHR). And with three new HR systems set to fully launch in 2024, HRITSO will collectively shape a more streamlined and efficient HR ecosystem that will benefit users for years to come.
Leading the charge is the Bruin CHR Service Center which is designed to streamline the intake of HR requests and delivery of services to the campus community. This HR case-management and knowledge-management solution offers a unified portal for submitting and tracking the status of HR requests, while offering a comprehensive Knowledge Base resource for employees to access whenever they need it.
The Bruin CHR Service Center's initial phase, launched in December 2023, replaced CHR compensation and salary-action requests in PeopleAdmin, offering a more intuitive and centralized platform. Users will notice a more streamlined experience that allows them to submit HR requests directly to CHR, track case history, view status updates and access a centralized knowledge base.
In tandem with the Bruin CHR Service Center, JDXpert emerges as a robust job-description management system and workflow engine. Set to replace the current system in PeopleAdmin, JDXpert brings forth a modern and intuitive user interface, simplified access with help text and auto-populated fields, conditional logic for relevant information display, and increased transparency into the status of position-description review and approval.
The targeted go-live date for JDXpert is February 2024, promising a seamless transition for users involved in classification and reclassification requests. The system's comprehensive features and enhanced user interface aim to redefine how position descriptions are managed and approved.
Completing the trio is the iCIMS Talent Cloud, an applicant-tracking system set to replace the current system in PeopleAdmin. Slated for a March 2024 go-live date, iCIMS promises an improved user experience for candidates, HR staff and hiring managers. With streamlined processes, increased visibility into the recruiting lifecycle and expanded engagement tools through social media and mobile capabilities, iCIMS aims to simplify the hiring process and provide a more engaging experience for both applicants and hiring teams.
The HRITSO program aligns with Administration’s effort to support UCLA’s strategic plan, specifically to make UCLA a more efficient campus. As it unfolds, it brings valuable technological upgrades and a more efficient, transparent and user-friendly HR landscape. The targeted go-live dates mark the beginning of a new era in CHR systems, setting the stage for a transformative journey toward enhanced productivity and user satisfaction within the campus community.
