Asian Pacific Islander Faculty & Staff Association (APIFSA)

APIFSA is dedicated to increasing awareness among faculty and staff about the various cultures in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. The organization hosts a Lunar New Year Celebration, guest lecturers, cooking workshops, and more. They encourage the API community, API allies, or anyone interested in learning about the API community to join.

Black Staff and Faculty Association (BSFA)   

The mission of the BSFA is centered on serving their members and other constituents through networking and educational, cultural, and professional development activities to enhance community building while supporting the retention and advancement of Black staff and faculty (and other underrepresented populations).

They host special events such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and Spring Faculty Convocation. Their personal and professional development workshops and information sessions cover topics such as wealth development and management with featured certified financial planners, MBTI personality assessments for career planning and leadership, and many other subjects. The Latino Staff & Faculty Association (LSFA)

The LSFA is a professional organization dedicated to empower, support, and assist in the professional development, advancement, and upward mobility of, primarily Latino, staff and faculty through networking and education. LSFA also aims to foster a sense of community and solidarity among Latino professionals. They offer a hub of resources for professional and personal growth for Latinos at UCLA, hosting leadership workshops, networking opportunities, and an annual “Posada” celebration. LGBTQ Campus Resource Center

The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education and advocacy services, supporting intersectional identity development as well as fostering unity, wellness, and an open, safe, and inclusive environment for UCLA’s LGBTQ community. They affirm people of all sexual and gender identities and serve the entire UCLA community – undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Community Programs Office (CPO)     

The mission of the CPO is to build and nurture an inclusive and diverse community of scholars and leaders who are committed to giving back to historically marginalized communities by engaging, educating, and empowering students to develop and execute student-initiated, student-run outreach, service and retention programs.

They serve as an umbrella department for the Student Initiated Outreach Center, Student Retention Center, and twenty-five student-initiated community service projects. They are also responsible for the CPO Food Closet (https://cpo.ucla.edu/cpo/foodcloset/), which provides free food to any UCLA student that may be experiencing hunger and/or is struggling to attain food due to financial hardships. The Food Closet accepts food donations and any donated funds are used for the daily operations of the facility and program. Administrative Management Group (AMG)

AMG is committed to the career development of managers and professionals at UCLA by providing opportunities for networking and informational events, including seminars on resume writing, project management, mentorship programs, and panel discussions on UCLA careers. The organization also presents the annual “Excel Awards” to staff and hosts the largest staff-promoting UC conference in the UC system on professional growth. UCLA Staff Assembly

The Staff Assembly is an organization for staff dedicated to promoting the interest and welfare of all staff employees. They provide a forum where staff employees at all levels can discuss University issues of mutual concern and forward their opinions on policies, procedures, and activities to University Administration. In addition to keeping staff informed and feeling included, they also offer opportunities to give back to the UCLA community through scholarships, fundraising, and special events.
