Hilda Valdez

Professional & Educational Background: Hilda received a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work with a minor in Chicana and Chicano Studies from San Diego State University (SDSU).  Hilda volunteered for SDSU’s Faculty Student Mentoring Program and for HKS’ College Opportunity and Career Help (COACH) Program. Before joining UCLA, she served as a public servant for two New York City agencies - the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and the Department of Finance (DOF) - focused on subsidized child care for low-income families.
