Popular Bike Share Program Arrives at UCLA

Metro Bike Share_inside article

Metro Bike Share has expanded to UCLA and Westwood Village, offering an affordable, healthy and enjoyable way to keep Bruins moving on two wheels.

On campus, the bike share stations are located at Gateway Plaza and Perloff Hall. In Westwood Village, docking stations are at the corners of Broxton and Weyburn avenues and Glendon and Kinross avenues.

Metro Bike Share features classic bikes — entirely powered by people — and some pedal-assisted electric bikes for riders who want to add some kick to their commute.

The inexpensive passes start at $1.75 per 30 minutes. Students and eligible employees can sign up for reduced fare passes priced at $5/month or $50/year.

Convenient and accessible around the clock, Metro Bikes are a fun, fast and reasonably priced option for Bruins to get where they are going. The fleet of bicycles provides a reliable ride for trips across campus or an excursion into Westwood Village for a lunch break.
