UCLA Transportation has been recognized with a Green Fleet Award for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from university fleet vehicles. Among its competitors, UCLA came in at No. 37 in the nation and No. 4 among university fleets in the United States.

In just a few short years the program, created by UCLA Organizational Effectiveness and Development, has earned an international “Excellence in Practice” award from the Association for Talent Development and has led to founding of the successful Research Concierge Program.
Collaboration leads to new air-quality monitoring website for UCLA
Events affecting air quality for students, employees and visitors to the UCLA campus will be easier to identify and quicker for campus leadership to respond to thanks to efforts by Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) and the Facilities Management Geographic Information Systems team.
Spotlight: Plateia’s Chef Jason Tingley
Executive Chef Jason Tingley never expected that his love of cooking would take him out of the kitchen and into the world of publishing – but it has with the recent release of “Plateia: The Cookbook,” a 240-page collection of more than 70 of the restaurant’s best-loved recipes, that Tingley co-authored with Chef Jeromy Sung, the restaurant’s chef de cuisine.

UCLA mobile testing bus brings COVID-19 tests directly to Bruins
UCLA Transportation has partnered with the Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center to bring testing directly to the UCLA community by converting a BruinBus into a mobile testing unit for Bruins living or working on or near campus.
Updates made to campus COVID-19 prevention program
The recently modified UCLA Safer Return to On-Site Work Guidance During COVID-19 document aims to better inform the Bruin community of UCLA’s plan to cautiously and gradually resume on-site university operations as local public health conditions allow.
